Dr. Norman Wise

Executive Director

PastorNormI have dedicated my life to healing hearts and homes.  This passion for this has guided me to be active in the lives of thousands of people since 1972 when I first began caring for the inner emotional struggles of human souls.   I am trained in theology and gifted in giving guidance through counseling to both individuals and families. Coming out of a troubled and dysfunctional home myself, causes me to have real empathy for people either suffering from abuse from others or addicted to destructive life patterns.

The core of my counsel is found in developing a healthier life story based on the love of God found in Christ Jesus, which allows us to change the emotional states that are driving us into destructive actions.  The goal is to teach people how to live sane, stable, and spiritual lives.  If you are looking for counseling that comes from decades of experience, a caring pastoral heart, and with a practical edge then you may find that I could be an excellent fit for your needs.

Our Board

Ken Whiteman – Chairman

Ken Whiteman has been involved with Living Water Counseling since 2002 when he enrolled in his first Family Life Skills class. Taking the course not only enabled him to “unpack his emotional baggage,” but it also had a transformational effect on his sense of vocation and his calling in life. Ken graduated from Seminary in 1985 and continued in his telecommunications career while serving in his local church. After taking Life Skills, he found that his spiritual calling engaged with his own healing process, and felt strongly drawn to come alongside other men and share his experience, strength and hope for better living. In 2007, he officially ended his telecommunications career and began serving as the Executive Pastor at SonCoast Community Church in Boca Raton as well as facilitating classes at the same location. He is currently looking for a new associate pastoral position in the area and sees himself facilitating Family Life Skills for another ten years and beyond. He believes he learns much from the journeys of men in class, and feels deep satisfaction in coming alongside these fellow travelers. Ken joined the Living Water Board of Directors in 2015 and currently serves as the chairman.

He had now become the co-founder of “Life Essentials” a new program to teach people how to overcome the wounds of the past, live in the present, and get ready for the future.

Ken lives with his wife Diana in Delray Beach. He is the father of 4 beautiful daughters and grandfather of 7 grandchildren.

Diana Whiteman – Secretary & Treasurer

Diana has been connected to Living Water Counseling since 2000 after she and her family moved to South Florida from California. Upon hearing a Living Water ad on the radio, she enrolled in her first small group, Shelter from the Storm. Once she completed Shelter a few times, she signed up for Family Life Skills. She found that Life Skills gave her the missing tools she needed to complete the process of growing up emotionally. She and her husband Ken both fell in love with the program and after completing the required prerequisites, they flew out to Colorado to become trained facilitators.

Diana has been leading classes in the Boca area and more recently in Lake Worth for over 13 years.

In 2015 Diana was asked to join the Living Water Board of Directors, Having recently resigned her church position where she served as the Youth and Children’s Director. She and her husband, Ken, live in Delray Beach, have four grown daughters (all who have taken Life Skills), 3 sons-in-law and 7 grandchildren.

She had now become the co-founder of “Life Essentials” a new program to teach people how to overcome the wounds of the past, live in the present, and get ready for the future.

Glen Urquhart – Vice Chairman

Glen Urquhart was a Presidential Appointee for Reagan, Bush and Clinton, and during that time he traveled extensively. He has been blessed to build and run several businesses. Recently he has tried and flunked retirement — twice.

Glen was mentored by his friend Dr. Larry Crabb and frequently blames and misquotes him — but always with the best of intentions.

Glen has 24 years of recovery from pornography and works with men on recovery through the “expulsive power of a new affection” for Christ, by discovering the gender-based capacity to reveal God and be truly satisfied.

He and his wife have been active in Celebrate Recovery and Life Skills.

His wife Angela and he enjoy supporting ministries as God calls them through their small family foundation. They have 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

 Stefani Kauffman – Board Member

Stefani Kauffman has a degree in Psychology from Franklin and Marshall College and has worked in marketing management and consulting the past 18 years. Assisting with events for her church in PA, Stefani has planned and helped with many fundraising and other special events over the years in job, consulting and voluntary roles. She is involved with her FL church in multiple ministry areas and served as a Youth Group leader for over ten years. She has a passion for helping people and appreciates being part of the Board for Living Water. In addition to the fundraising efforts, Stefani is taking a more active role with the Social Media for Living Water going forward.
