Stress is a physical and emotional state in which I feel pressure, worry, tension, strain, an anxiety over a circumstance or situation that I perceive will cause me harm if I fail to handle whatever it is that I am facing. We all have stress. Sometimes the stress becomes so great that it keeps us from functioning at our best. We lose sleep, express anger quickly, and cannot think as clearly as we normally can. Stress begins to lessen our immune system and eat up our physical energy.
What can be done to manage this physical and emotional state? Dr. Norman Wise, has developed a practical program by which we can make sure we use stress constructively instead of having it overwhelm us.
