“Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society.” ― Benjamin Franklin
A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. [Pro 25:28 NLT]
Many problems are caused by a lack of self control. Anger, addiction, and abuse all at roots are caused because we cannot control ourselves. Our inability to reach our goals, keep our focus, and develop healthy lifestyles are also due to a lack of self discipline. But while self control is so critical it is very hard to develop and practice.
Dr. Norman Wise will explore how we can seek and develop the fruit of the Spirit which is self control. What can we do to experience self control? Through a clear process the path towards the development of self control will be set forth in a practical manner that can be practiced in daily life.
